Overview

 A course designed to help elevator personnel strengthen their knowledge of and understand the latest elevator regulations as adopted in California by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board. Major course topics include:

  • Law development
  • Regulation development
  • Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board and Office of Administrative Law procedures
  • Breakdown of the Elevator Safety Orders

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants will have the ability to:

  • Understand the development of laws and regulations in California as related to elevators
  • Understand the organization of the Elevator Safety Orders

Instructional Hours

This course will be completed during one eight hour session of eight contact hours.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for elevator personnel, including elevator mechanics, elevator inspectors, elevator consultants, elevator engineers, elevator office supervisors and other elevator office personnel.

Certificate of Completion

A certificate of completion for eight contact hours will be issued to each participant who successfully complete the course.
